The issue has now been resolved. Single and Multi-slide insertion with Google Slides should work as expected for both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Update
We are currently investigating an issue with Single and Multi-slide insertion with Google Slides. This is probably related to unexpected UI updates to the Google Slides user interface. In particular, the Insert Image button may not be functioning normally. Until this is resolved, we recommend users insert one slide at a time and manually click the "Insert Image" button if available.
