Our third-party datacenter, Vultr, will be performing emergency maintenance on certain systems in our datacenter during the maintenance window. Poll Everywhere 2.0 is an application that is resilient to maintenance events like this. Out of an abundance of caution, however, and given the scope of the work, temporary interruptions of access to Poll Everywhere 2.0 may occur for 1-2 minutes during the maintenance window. We believe the impact to Poll Everywhere 2.0 to be tightly constrained to a 1-2 minute period of downtime in the maintenance window.

Update - The incident has been updated to include Denmark as well as some other international numbers.

As a workaround, you can go to Profile -> International text messaging -> Coverage area to rotate to either US / Canada.

Update - We have disabled the Denmark SMS number and failed over to the Germany phone number while the Denmark number is not working.

Identified - We have identified that Denmark numbers are not working for SMS. We have contacted our SMS provider and are in the process of resolving this issue.

As a workaround, you can go to Profile -> International text messaging -> Coverage area to rotate to a different number.

Update - Based on our understanding of the situation, we believe that the actual downtime will be minimal or close to zero. We understand the work required to involve physical network switching/layer replacement. This will take on the scale of minutes to tens of minutes, based on our understanding of the situation. The actual downtime is expected to be very minimal, but the maintenance window is large to account for unforeseen complications with the logistics.

We incorporate all inputs into our review of third-party service providers on a regular basis. We will work to ensure that future maintenance is minimally disruptive for our users. We are deeply sorry for the long maintenance window, and will work to improve our service in the future.
